Queenester Gray-Hightower is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has a Full Practice Authority and Controlled Substance License in the state of Illinois. Queenester providers Compensation and pension evaluations for U.S Veterans, active military, FBI, Secret Service, and the CIA. She specializes in Preventive Care, Occupational Health, and Urgent Care. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Queenester has over 15 years of experience in health care. She attended Kentucky State University in Frankfort Kentucky, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She started her nursing career at the University of Kentucky Medical Level I Trauma Center. Working in the Adult Progressive Care Unit brought awareness on chronic diseases that are left unmanaged. She later transitioned to Pediatrics where she delivered exceptional care to infants and children in the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Later, she relocated back to her home state Illinois; where she worked as a Travel Nurse at the University of Chicago Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center, and Northwest Community Hospital.

Recognizing the health disparities on uninsured and underinsured patients in areas of Harvey, IL, and Chicago, IL is what sparked Queenester’s interest in pursuing nursing at a higher level. She graduated with honors from Indiana Wesleyan University where she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing Degree to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She started her Nurse Practitioner journey working at NorthShore Health Centers, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality, affordable healthcare to patients with health insurance and those without health insurance. In addition to Primary/Preventive Care, she specializes in Urgent Care Illnesses such as TeleHealth, Musculoskeletal Injuries, and Acute Infections. Queenester is also a Certified Medical Examiner for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Completing DOT (Department of Transportation) physical examinations for commercial drivers.

Understanding the importance of education and empowering future Nurse Practitioners, Queenester teaches Graduate Nursing Courses as an Adjunct Professor and Clinical Site Instructor.
